During the summer season, there are a number of orientation checks in the terrain around Vålådalen. This is part of the Swedish Orienteering Association's project “Hittaut”, which is a great activity for the entire family to be enjoyed in 32 different places in Sweden; Vålådalen being one of these.

WHAT IS ”HITTAUT”?
“Hittaut” is an easy form of orienteering accessible to anyone. A grand amount of check points is spread out around the whole village/place and surrounding forest areas. The check points have different levels of accessibility and are to be found with help of a map. When you have found a check point there is a code that you can register online to keep your development updated, and as well participate in the competition of nice awards. Here you can find out more about “Hittaut” (in Swedish). You find Vålådalen under the area/city Östersund!
Below you find links to printable PDF maps for orienteering in the surroundings. The maps are also for sale in our reception.
